Ever since I moved to Toronto, I was struck by how confusing it was to navigate the PATH. It took me a week to feel comfortable commuting to and from work, and even longer to discover a shorter route I could have been taking all along. That feeling would hit me again and again every time I couldn’t get the answer to a simple question: “If I need to get to a place in Downtown, how can I get there using the PATH? Which doors to get in and out?” This frustration became my inspiration and I set out to implement the Toronto Path App. I personally walked and mapped the more than 30km of pathways and 170+ doors and developed this app that is exactly what I, as a PATH user, always wished I had—a tool to navigate the PATH quickly, efficiently, and stress-free.
